About Tom

Former lead Maths teacher at Win Academy Marlow. Responsible for Maths curriculum from KS3 to GCSE and SAT. A-level examiner. Currently freelance business and economics producer at the BBC. Marjorie Deane scholar at City University (Financial Journalism). Economics graduate from the University of Warwick. CRB checked. 5 years tutoring experience. Impeccable academic record (see CV).

My previous role involved teaching elite young athletes under challenging circumstances. Students competed on a demanding international tennis circuit meaning a student-centred, unorthodox approach was required!

Tuition in Economics (A-level/undergraduate level), Maths (KS3, GCSE, A-level, adult learner) and common entrance (11+). Experienced with AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. Also provide tuition in graphics/video software including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects.

Undergraduate modules covered include microeconomics, game theory, macroeconomics, econometrics, mathematical/statistical techniques and industrial economics.

Capable of bringing theory to life using a wide range of personal interests including sports, card games, financial trading and computer games. Easy-going and able to relate to all students regardless of age or ability.
